Embracing Opportunities: Shalynn’s Inspiring Journey with nEbO

 

Shalynn’s journey with nEbO began through her involvement with NTU’s Welfare Services Club (Volunteer Management), where she discovered her passion for community service and leadership. Since then, Shalynn has become an active youth leader with nEbO, enthusiastically participating in various volunteering events and embracing every opportunity to give back. Her vibrant personality, coupled with her dedication to helping others, makes her a valued member of the nEbO community.

 

Saying Yes to Growth and New Experiences

 

Shalynn’s approach to her time with nEbO is simple but powerful: say yes to as many opportunities as possible. “Some of my favorite memories in nEbO include joining events where I got to interact with other nEbO leaders and volunteer for the community!” she shares. This mindset has allowed her to dive headfirst into a variety of roles and activities, from volunteering to engage children and families at the NTUC May Day Family Fiesta, to organizing volunteering activities engaging seniors.  These experiences have not only expanded her skill set but also introduced her to an incredible network of like-minded youths who share her passion for making a difference. “Every experience helps you grow in unexpected ways and introduces you to amazing new people,” she advises.

Through her involvement with nEbO, Shalynn has found a community of peers who inspire her to continue growing and giving back. She values the friendships she has made along the way, appreciating how each event not only serves the community but also strengthens the bonds among nEbO members.
